1998, Raccoon City: Einst die florierende Heimat des Pharmariesen Umbrella, hat sich die Stadt im Mittleren Westen stark verändert. Der Exodus des Unternehmens hat den Ort regelrecht in den Tod gezwungen und in eine Geisterstadt verwandelt.
